Unfortunately uni accommodation is very expensive (upwards of £55 per night) and limited to single rooms. There are plenty of B&Bs in York where you can find much cheaper prices, so I’d suggest you try to book there first.

Air BnB a great service (and a bit cheaper than other accommodation) for those who are happy to rent a room in a private home. It’s a bit like Couch Surfing but tends to be nicer rooms with families/ young professionals. There are many nice and affordable places to stay in York, you can browse here.
